Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago
The Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, a seminary of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, prepares pastors, theological educators, lay professionals, and other church leaders who are centered in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and committed to the Christian faith knowledgeable interpreters of the Scriptures and the ecumenical traditions of the church responsive to the diversity and changing dynamics of contemporary life and who are able to witness to the reconciling Word of God, both through their lives and through such ministries as teaching, preaching, administering the sacraments, and inviting people to the faith to provide care for God's people to work for the revitalization of the church as it seeks to transform the world.
In carrying out its mission, LSTC promotes theological research and publication preserves, explores, and interprets the Lutheran Heritage as a confessing movement calling the whole church to renewal.

Registration Information:
Students will reserve a space in this course and register for it by sending an email message or calling Pat Bartley, the Registrar at LSTC (pbartley@lstc.edu) (or 773-256-0717), who will assess tuition of $1250 if this is the only course you will be taking (at LSTC the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th courses in each term are billed at $770).
Students not enrolled at LSTC will be asked to fill out a short application form qualifying them as a “Special Student.” Applications should be received by September 1, 2004 (earlier if at all possible since admission will be on a first come first served basis). Maximum enrollment 16; minimum enrollment 10.
Students enrolled at any ATS-accredited seminary may be able to use this course toward the degree programs at their seminary (check with your registrar or advisor to make sure before taking the course). Students enrolled in M.A. or M.Div. programs at any of the ELCA seminaries will be able to transfer this course into their degree programs.
